When you share a cocktail or have a chat at an art show with Dan O'Neill you realize early on you're dealing with an accessible, fun and flitty peronality.

Always dressed in dapper fashion and quite gregarious in nature one feels very welcome in his presence.

This wonderful trait can be found in all of his oil works. His whimsical brush strokes and open spaces, even within the finer details, are easy to take in and a pleasure to understand. They are free and dyanmic but well composed.

Unlike his watercolor paintings his oils are very loose and natural. In his watercolors you take a mystical and universal journey in tightly rendered compositions, with an unnatural assorment of colors over space and time; quite the opposite of these fine works.
